Cheaper "promo" shells and bulk target shells from places like Walmart can be as little as $4 for a box of 25. Those are always smaller shot size target shells, though. Specialty ammo like 3" hunting slugs can be as high as $20+ for a box of five.
For all around target shooting and backyard fun, go for a medium shot size #4 or #6 in a 3.25 dram load. You can expect to pay in the $7-9 range. For home defense, a larger shot size, #4 shot or larger is the usual suggestion. 00 buckshot is the most common favorite and it usually runs $2 per shot or $10 for a box of five shells.
Yes, but, DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!
1 inch
50-175 dollars
I would get a 12 gage shotgun to hunt turkeys. You can get 12 gage shotgun shells almost anywhere. It is the most popular size. If you get a 16 gage, you will have an extremely difficult time getting shells. A woman should get a 20 gage to hunt turkeys. It has less kick. A child should use 28 or 410.
Mossberg
As much as you can get. But realistically around 250.00 in good shape.
A good price would be 100 USD. You will probably have to spend @ 375 USD
Try a Mossberg Model 385K. This is what it was originally
Depending on condition, $50-$125. They are not high dollar firearms, but durable, reliable, and well made.
In Ronald W. Stadt's "Winchester Shotguns and Shotshells" he states that Winchester started introducing Super Speed shells in 1933.
The 325B is a Mossberg 385k. any good shotgun gunsmith can repair it.
