How much does a dose of magic mushrooms cost these days I am doing college paper and you need to know?

As I understand, they are usually procured for free by searching around in cow pastures a day or two after a good rain. They grow out of the cow pies. Gross, I know. I have never known anyone that has payed for them. Also, I believe that selling and buying them is illegal, while finding them is not. But that was years ago. The law surely varies from state to state and may have changed over the years.

Simple question, simple answer: I would expect to spend around $40 for a good adventure, a 1/4 oz. normally runs about that much.

NO they will NOT grow in pastures that have salt blocks/ salt licks etc. If the pasture/field does have them DO NOT EAT THE ONES THAT ARE GROWING they are not "magical" the iodine in the salt passing through the cows/horses digestive track and once out it will pretty much kill anything that tries to grow in it besides bugs and SOME poisonous fungi. So unless you have a field guide or a book... don't eat them even if they are in a field don't listen to idiots that say all shrooms in a pile of poop are "MAGIC" because you'll quickly find out that they will "Magically" Destroy your kidneys/liver etc... on that note good luck and if you want to have a great time in the hospital or grave listen to some of these people. I would just buy a kit and grow yourself if you want the real deal that badly. Remember unless you got a guide or a well sought after book I don't recommend eating them even off of POO
