obviously it depends on the town, city, county, state, or agency. I would say an accurate range starting salary would be anywhere from $1800 to $3800 take home a month (Which is about $450 a week). somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 to 60,000 a year.
A policeman can earn about as much as 2000 a month! wow
alot. Not much. Animal control officers are civil employees just like Police officers.
Question is not specific enough. Police officers salaries can, and do, vary according to the size of the city, town, or municipality they work for.

no
Police officers in Colorado make $1000 a week.
a police officer makes 40,000 a year
Police officers' pay varies widely depending what jurisdiction they serve or what agency employs them. Using Los Angeles as an example, beginning officers make 30,000 to 44,000 a year. After 20 years they make 48,000 to 81,000 a year. There is a link below for more specific information.
How much does a St. Louis city police officer make
80,000 a year.
No. Police officers are paid an hourly wage or flat salary. They do NOT get a "commission" on fines that are levied on persons they arrest or cite.
Because a lot of drug addicts sell drugs, which is illegal. Therefore, police officers have to find them and arrest them.
