Scoliosis doesn't affect height so much. It is just a mere curve usually at the top of the spine, curving to the left or right. Typically, I'm pretty sure you might not be any shorter than but an inch or two.
It depends on how severe the curvature (what DEGREE) is. It can give you back pain, cause your hips to look "crooked", & sometimes your back goes numb (I only speak from personal experience here).

Scoliosis is when the spine is twisted or curved (to some degree) which would often make one hip more prominent than the other or your shoulders at different heights. Kyphosis is when the spine actually 'hunches' forward. As blunt and terrible as it sounds, if you have a very high degree of scoliosis, your back may look like a less severe version of a hunchback. I'm no doctor, but I have experienced both Scoliosis and Kyphosis, so this is what I understand them to be.
It depends how bad you have it. If your curve is huge then you'll have a hunch back , if its around 60 degrees like mine was, then your back would have been forming into a hunch back and that didnt really affect my walking but it caused alot of pain.
With scoliosis, you're usually only limited if it causes back pain. If you suffer from back pain because of scoliosis, you might not be able to sit, stand, or bend over for long periods of time. Other physical activity may also be difficult. Unless the scoliosis is severe, it shouldn't affect the things you do that much, and in very mild cases, it shouldn't affect the things you do at all.
It can I have mild scoliosis and I have noticed when my back hurts is when some of the swelling starts.
