If you work for a school district, anywhere between 27,000-37,500 to start out. It depends on how much the district pays. If you have no degree and you go work for a preschool such as Kinder Care you will start off at 7.50 maybe. I worked there over the summer and only made 9/hour and i am a certified teacher. If you are certified in early childhood (prek-3) it is best to have a special ed. endorsement if you want to work for a district. New Response: Your better off getting your degree and trying to work in a public school system. Then you have more opportunity and if you hold a degree in ECE you will be able to teach pre-k-age 8. Think about it. Working in a day car is crazy mainly if you have a degree. If not your probably only going to get hired for minimum wage.
