that depends on what level the technician is at. a beginner may start between 10 to 15 dollars flat rate per hour. the pay elevates as skills improve, and ase certifications are acquired. at my level, it is not uncommon to make 25 dollars or more flat rate. flat rate means hours turned(labor paid per job) not time spent on the clock.
