In realistic numbers aviation is virtually 0% of a non problem. All mankind produces less then 6% of all CO2 output. Most of that is from material that would rot in any event. Aviation uses less then 1% of our total fuel consumption. Housing produces over 50% of the carbon emissions that man produces. The forests and Oceans produce 94% of all CO2 naturally.

Carbon Dioxide is also a minor contributor to the total green house gas mix. It currently is at 0.037% concentrations in our atmosphere. This is up from 0.028% at a known low in a known low area (Antarctica in 1850). Current levels in this same area are around 0.028% (no increase).

Man produces 0.28% of all green house gases, again, most of that from sources that would become a green house gas if we did not use them.

Interestingly enough the current warming cycle we see started 6000 years ago. In that period we have seen 11 degrees of rise. All but 0.2 degrees of this rise before we discovered oil.

What is the worlds carbon footprint?

It depends how much energy and electricity you use in your life time. It measures your carbon emissions.

How much carbon dixiode does an airplane produce?

every 2,062 miles travelled accounts for 1 ton of Carbon Dioxide emissions per person.

What filter should you use to reduce carbon monoxide emissions?

carbon monoxide is a rich indicator, if you are producing too much, you have a fuel system problem.

Will biodiesel clog the catalytic converter in a 2008 diesel truck?

Biodiesel emissions are much cleaner than emissions from conventional diesel. Carbon dioxide is reduced by 90%, sulphur by 100%, carbon monoxide by 10-50%, and hydrocarbons by 10-50%. The only emissions that increase are nitrous oxide emissions. However, this is counteracted by your catalytic converter. So the answer is no, boidiesel will not clog your catalytic converter.

Why would it help the environment to reduce the speed on motorways up to 70mph?

it wouldn't do much i guess it will lower carbon emissions

Why is carbon dioxide important to people?

Carbon dioxide is important to people as it plays a crucial role in the process of photosynthesis, which is how plants produce oxygen and carbohydrates. It is also a major greenhouse gas, helping to regulate Earth's temperature. However, too much carbon dioxide emissions from human activities can contribute to climate change, which has negative impacts on the environment and human health.

How much automotive exhaust is produced by cars each year?

Vehicle exhaust is mostly carbon dioxide, with a little water, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides. This answer deals with the carbon dioxide content only.Sixteen percent (16%) of human carbon dioxide greenhouse gas emissions comes from road transport (cars, trucks and buses). Cars are responsible for about half of this (8%).Humans are responsible for around 35 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.Car emissions, 8% of that total, is around 2.8 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide (2,800,000,000).

How much carbon dioxide is created by ferries?

Global carbon dioxide emissions are 26 gigatonnes (26 billion tonnes) of carbon dioxide annually (2013).Carbon dioxide from all shipping is 4% to 5% of global emissions (1,300,000,000 (1.3 billion) tonnes).Ferries make up less than 1% of all shipping. So ferries probably emit around 13,000,000 (13 million) tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.

How does saving energy reduce carbon dioxide emmisions?

Almost all fuel used to create energy (coal, oil, gas) causes carbon dioxide emissions, therefore not using aka saving energy will reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Nature produces most of the carbon dioxide. Man produces about 6% of all CO2 produced. Much of this by items that would otherwise rot and create CO2 naturally.

What are carbon footprints made up of?

A carbon footprint is not an object, it is a way of calculating how much your activities contribute to the burden of global warming. Your carbon footprint would include:the carbon dioxide fro ythe fuels yu burnmethane from the cows producing your meattreees cut down by your paper purchasesmethane from waste sites you contribute toetc.
