Others might charge per yard, a typical contract crocheter like for a magazine would charge between $0.05 to $0.08 per yard. If your project has 100 yards that would be between $5.00 and $8.00 plus the cost of yarn, plus shipping if the item needs to be shipped, and perhaps adjusted for difficulty level too.
I personally would charge more for a multicolor stranded or intarsia beanie, than I would for a simple one color one.
Are any embelishments like beads, or ribbons, or a liner wanted? those cost extra too.
