To fallow/plow land, it costs 15 coins per square. You can also just leave the land un-plowed and it will not cost you anything. However, you won't be able to grow anything if you don't plow it.
You could only plow when your plant(s) or Fruits are done.
I've never seen it disappear on its own, but you can plow it with the hoe or remove it completely with the shovel.
inactive land can be fallow

Fallow land means land that has not been cultivated and seeded. The soil can be fertile, just nothing is being grown on it. Cultivated land that actively has plants growing on it is the opposite of fallow
Yes you can. If you have a second farm than go under hand tools, witch include move tool and regular tool, and you will see recycle tool, this is found in the bottom right corner, and if you click on that you are able to delete fallow plots. If you do not have a second farm than in the right corner there is a recycle tool click on that and you can delete fallow plots.
After the farm failed, the land laid fallow for years.
Type in farmville in the top right hand corner in the search box. Click Applications and select farmville Once you are in the game - Plough land, plant seeds, buy animals, harvest plants, harvest animals, buy new items with profit. Repeat.
You click on the arrow tool at the bottom right of the screen then you get a slide up menu then click the plow tool.
There are 3 types I know of. I so far have had:Normal land: The grassy groundPlowed land: Land you have plowed is where you can plant things.Fallow land: Not quite sure what this is but you get this sometimes after harvesting things that are in plowed ground.
