Depends on the cost of your camera and how long you have owned it. Assuming the camera is fairly new (less than 60 days), you might be better served trying to get it repaired. That is because it probably cost you a lot to purchase it in the first place. In addition, you have a warranty most likely. Therefore, it should not really cost you anything in that instance. However, if it is dated (more than a year), it won't be worth the repair if you can buy something newer for a similar price.
