Well according to Washington Post (if you want to believe that about ANYTHING) it costs $44,000 to fly a F-22 for one hour. I'm sure that includes amortization (The cost of the plane divided by the number of hours it's expected to actually fly). They also could amortize the cost of the pilot. Same equation, cost to train, $1,000,000+, number of hours he will fly in his career (let's say he is a lifer and spends twenty years, and say 5,000 hours, well you do the math.) However an advanced aircraft will spend at least ten hours in the hanger for each hour flown. Also given the F-16 is a single engine plane, which is much smaller and lighter I think it's reasonable to cut that 44k in half.
Also, if you wanted to fly a fighter, or fly in it I guess, you can go to Poland where 25 minutes, block to block will cost you $3,500. (+ -)
Not all that precious I agree, but a hell of a lot better the "Crazy expensive".
On internal fuel it's range is approximately 1,000 miles.
It will fly approximately twice the speed of sound.
an f16 fighter falcon can fly more than mach 2 or 2,124km/h ( 1,320mph ) hi very fast
32,000 pounds of force.
The F-16 can fly approximately 2,400 miles without refuelling.
The F-16 can fly approximately 2,400 miles without refuelling.
Fly Fighter happened in 1989.
Fly Fighter was created in 1989.
Above 50,000 feet (15 kilometers)
In an air-to-surface role, the F-16 can fly more than 500 miles
Depends how much fuel you put in it
How much does it cost to fly from right through Germany to Omaha Nebraska
