When I had 3 stitches put in my thumb at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh, Michigan, the bill was $1615.00. That's $538.33 per stitch. The procedure took 30 to 40 minutes. I had expected that the bill would be no more than $150.00, but my being billed $1615.00 for 3 stitches was worth my finally knowing that the devil does exist and what group of individuals make up the body of the devil.

∙ 15y agoThe removal of surgical stitches should have been part of the original surgical procedure. The surgery isn't complete until the stitches have been removed, at least imho.

Seems outrageous but still glad I went.
