about $1.50 if you have a spare key that they can cut a new one off of.
I made a new key made and now the car will not start: I need instructions onj how to manualy program the key:
The Chevelle/Malibu, Impala/Caprice
The last Chevy Chevelle was made in 1977. Starting in 1978 the Chevelle nameplate was dropped and Chevy's midsize car was called the "Malibu" from then on. It's interesting because from the very beginning in 1964, the "Malibu" was actually a Chevelle model/trim package. Before 1978, ALL Malibu's were Chevelles, but not all Chevelles were Malibu's.
i went to the gm dealership and they quoted me at $45 because of the chip on the key
A Chevy Malibu that was made in 1998 will get between 20 and 32 miles per gallon. The car will get around 23 country miles and 32 highway miles per gallon.
My motor just died in my 1999 chevy malibu and the garage guy told me that since mine was made in California and my vin number started with a J I had to have a 3.1 motor from California to run my car.
dex-cool is made for Chevy vehicles but prestone has a universal coolant that works too.
You made the mistake of buying a Chevy Malibu. Seriously though, try replacing the fans next. Trip to the local junkyard would be the cheapest, although fans aren't exactly that expensive at your local parts store.
Ignition keys have changed over the years. You can no longer go to the hardware store and get spare keys made. New vehicles require computer chips inside the key before the vehicle will start. These must be purchased at the dealership. The cost for these keys may range from $75 up to $125 per key.
Malibu Barbies were sold between 1971 and 1984.
It depends on the year of the car, what engine, and driving style. I have a 2006 Malibu with the v6, and on the highway, I have gottem 50-60 miles and still made to a station, and then in town made it 35 more miles then it died right in front of the station.
You didn't state WHICH year. -They have been making Malibu's since about 1966 and I know the early versions would seat 5 passengers fairly comfortably . I had one ! The Malibus made now are smaller and wimpier than the Malibu of the 60's.
