It depends on which Girl Guide or Girl Scout organization you choose to join.

For example, in the United States in 2011, the fee for membership registration for Girl Scouts of the USA is US$12.00. Each troop may also require dues which help pay for troop supplies and expenses.

Girl Guides of Canada, in 2007-2008, required a C$35.00 membership fee. Councils may require additional fees. For 2007-2008, the annual fee for the Quebec Council was C$75.00, which included the C$35.00 membership fee.

As of 2013, the annual national membership fee is $15. Depending on the individual council, there may also be an additional council service fee due with the $15 paid at the time of registration. Please be sure to check with your local council office in order to verify the total membership registration amount due.

For Girl Scouts of the USA, the current annual national membership dues are $15.00 (as of October 2013), paid at the time of registration. In addition, (as of October 2012) each Girl Scout council may charge an additional fee per girl member not to exceed the existing GSUSA membership cost.

In addition, each troop/group may have their own dues to help cover expenses associated with troop/group activities.

How do you become a Brownie Girl Scout in Dubai?

Dubai is part of the Girl Guides Association of the United Arab Emirates. The Girl Guides Association of the UAE does not have a Brownie level, and they are Girl Guides. If you were to join Girl Guides in the UAE, you would either be a Flower ages 6 to 11, a Guide ages 12 to 15, or a Senior Guide ages 16 to 18. Some Girl Guide and Girl Scouts organizations have members who live in other countries. So, for example, if a girl was from the USA but living in Dubai, she could become a Girl Scout Brownie by joining Girl Scouts of the USA Overseas and being in grades 2 or 3.

When there was a Boy Scouts meeting and upset girls walked in wanting to join, this made BP (Sir Baden-Powell) think and so was born Girl Guides. In Addition: A Boy Scout rally was held in England in 1909. Several girls attended proclaiming themselves to be Scouts.
