Well that depends on what you are looking for, What application, what is your shop labor rate?
On average I can do head gaskets on most vehicles within 4-8 hours, there is alot of work involved in doing this.
take you shop labor rate and multiply it by your estimated repair time, add in your parts cost, the mark-up on the parts that you are going to receive from your shop, the environmental levys, and whatever taxes are applicable in your state.
You best bet is to phone around to local repair shops and get it quoted.
Head gaskets are expensive but can disable a car if not treated. The cost for a new head gasket for a Toyota is $177.12.
In Canada, doing it in the dealers would cost about $2800.
Depending upon the shops labor rate that you take it in to it should take about 14 hours to remove the heads and reinstall them the head gaskets will range anywhere from 50-100 dollars and their will be valve cover gaskets as well that will usually range from 25-50 dollars. Hope this helps
Head gaskets are very cheap. It is the labor to install them that will be expensive. I cannot tell you the cost, just go get estimates.
roughfly about $3000 the labor is what kills 33hrs
$2200 is what I spent but it was head gasket and intake gaskets.
Lots of labor but can be done without removing heads. If doing it yourself, not much cost -- seals plus valve cover gaskets. Shop cost if not doing it yourself -- prohibitive.
Well I have a 2002 Cherokee and I was quoted anywhere from 400-800 dollars, they said more if its and 8 cyld or the positioning of the engine which makes it longer to remove and more labor.
about $1000 to $1500 at most independent shops. more at dealers and other places.
7-800 dollars depending if you need a timing chain and some other gaskets
9 Hundred
around 2000 for both head gaskets and around 1000-1500 for one side only
