I would ask the mechanic if they will use a supplied part rather than paying for the upcharge. Or if you can do it you will save even more money. All you really need to do is disconnect the battery terminals, unbolt the starter (wrestle with it to get it out) and disconnect the wires. Just do the oppsosite to replace the starter. Good Luck!
