It just depends on if your doing it yourself or if your wanting a shop to do it?!
Doing it yourself will only cost you most likely a few hundred that's even with all the extra maintenance. Cleaning of all the parts and using the best sealants and all.
If you take it to a shop...well..... i hope you're ready to spend 1K+ for a good shop to do the work.
The cost of this repair depends on whether it is done by a mechanic or done by an individual. The cost to do it yourself is between three hundred and four hundred dollars. The cost for a mechanic to do it will be about four times that cost.

If the gasket is replaced by you, then the only cost would be the replacement gaskets which do not cost much.

Depends if the heads are cracked or not. Typically $50+ for the gaskets (intake & head)... $200 if you ned the heads reconditioned... $60 if you need the heads resurfaced only... More if you need a replacement for a cracked head... Plus labor to R&R the intake & heads, readjust valves, add coolant, set timing, etc.
It requires a special socket that is slotted up one side so as not to damage the wiring. The cost of the socket is quite high and will not justify the purchase unless you plan on using it often.
