From what I've seen, no education is "needed", except the one you need for yourself.
When becoming a tattoo apprentice you most likely won't be asked for your high school grades, but get your portfolio inspected.
You will however, in order to become a successfull tattoo artist, be skilled in drawing, fond of machines and how they work, must be able to work between different "styles" and be very creative.
Customers assume you are very skilled in what you do.
No, there are not any specific or necessary GCSE's needed to be a tattooist.
The Tattooist was created in 2007.

Nope. The greed for gold overpowered the need of education.
18. You cannot get anything pierced by a tattooist without parental supervision if you are under 18
Well I would suggest you go talk to a professional tattooist in your area, they will be able to fix your machine for you. Tip: If you want to be a tattooist, you need to be able to take the machine apart yourself and reassemble it and tune it. If you can't do that you will find it hard to gain respect from any other tattooist. Learn by doing, dissemble it and put it back together, keep notes.
