there is many difference
The main difference between EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) and ECM (Electrochemical Machining) machines is in their working principles: EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining): EDM uses electrical discharges to remove material from a workpiece. It relies on sparks or discharges of electrical energy to erode the material, making it suitable for hard metals and complex shapes. ECM (Electrochemical Machining): ECM employs a chemical process to remove material. It uses an electrolyte solution and an electrically conductive tool to dissolve or erode the workpiece material, making it effective for conducting materials like alloys and difficult-to-machine metals. In summary, EDM uses electrical discharges, while ECM uses an electrochemical process to shape and machine materials.
Horsepower rating, some ECM programming.
ECMs use large scale integrated circuits that are usually embedded in epoxy. They do not contain discrete transistors and are generally not designed to be serviced.
If you are refering to control of the blower moter, defroster, heater controls, everything related to climate control. It is in the top portion of the central trim section that surrounds the radio, its called the ECM.
Extended Commissioning Motor hope that helps :) or, Engine Control Module.
Left side, on the firewall by the wiper motor
its the ecm i had a 99 frontier same motor and all still have the repair manuel for it
yep but you need to take motor mounts and ecm and wiring
Are you trying to put a V8 in it or what. If you are keeping the original motor in it, the answer is YOU CAN>T
Assuming you're referring to the speed governor, it's programmed into the motor's ECM.
There is no timing ajustment, Its controled by ECM- Computer.
You can't. It doesn't have a distributor. The ECM does all that stuff electronically.
It can be done, but you would need to use the ECM from the 2001 engine.
First, you have to change the ECM settings.
under the coil packs which are located at the rear of the motor on top
If it is a 3.1 any 1992 GM motor will work. If you are doing a motor swap from 3.1 to a 3.4 Dual Cam engine it can be done but you have to change more than the engine. The wiring harness and ECM (computer) have to be changed. Possible mounts also. If you are swapping to a newer engine (say a 1998) you might have to change the wiring and ECM.
