A wind turbine can use up to 40kw/h of energy at once.
When for example the turbine is yawing into the wind (turning the head of the turbine into the wind for the blades to face the incoming wind). 4 high power motors and gears are used to do this. When at the same time the hydraulic system is turned on to control the blades to position themselves in the wind, and the motors for the cooling are enabled, the windturbine can require a lot of wind. However usually this is generated by the turbine itself. So this is not really relevant as the output is much higher then the usage.
Depends on the type and size of the wind turbine and in which area they are set up. Am modern Wind turbine with a + 100 m Rotor and a base over 140 meters high will produce 3+ Megawatts easily

Mini wind turbine
The first wind turbine was invented in 1888. The fellow who invented it was Charles F. Brush.
nope....only when the wind is blowing...
A wind turbine is not designed to generate wind, it uses wind and generates electricity.
The cost to maintain a wind turbine is estimated to be about 2% of the original investment per year. The cost of a wind turbine is $50,000.
5.2 billion
depends on if it works
The Power Generated by a Wind Turbine entirely depends on the capacity of the turbine which is installed.. there are turbines ranging from 1 watt to 10 MW that can be installed in a wind farm The installation of the turbine depends on the Wind Potential of the area.
Well recently i have been surfing internet for wind turbine, well a house hold horizontal wind turbine would cost around 1300pounds while the vertical ones are much cheaper.
