well it depends on how heavy he/she is and how old he/she is. It also depends on the type of food you give it. On the side of the packet of my dogs food it has a chart to say how much it should be eating. because mine is only a puppy (weighs about 2 kilos) we give it 50 grams a day and split that into 3 meals.
But it is important that you don't give it more than it needs, even if he/she eats it really quickly- westies can get fat easily!

∙ 11y agoIt really depends... if your puppy is around 2 months then feed him/her a small bowl of dry food (maybe a handful) and some wet food to mix it in. My welsh terrier pup always pics out the wet food so make sure you mix it in well. feed them this much around 4 times a day IF they have no food in their bowl. Otherwise leave it.
If they are a little older then feed him/her a little more in each bowl with a little less wet food and only 3 times a day. On average a dog should eat twice a day. so you want them to slowly move to that.
Don't worry if your dog refuses to eat for a while. My puppy is sometimes starving when i give her food or she will refuse to eat at all. Maybe that's just my dog being picky...!!
