It really does depend on how much green tea you drink during the day. It doesn't matter if a drink/food is healthy, but if you have one thing too much your body will 'turn against it'. Green tea usually does have a calming effect, but don't drink it before bed unless it's decaf green tea. Caffiene does keep you awake at night. You should probably check with your doctor to see what is causing you heavy night sweating.
