I'm assuming he has about 450 hp the first time you battle him, as he is usually defeated by a few thundershocks doing between 150-200 damage.
the second time, i cant answer due to the increase in both the hero's level, and moltres' and the fact that we do a lot higher damage to be able to document it.

How do you get moltres in red rescue team?
You have to defeat Rayquaza and the end of the pre-game and once the credits roll, go to Mt. Blaze and keep battling Moltres (same for other birds too) until it joins your team. It has about 700 HP this time around, so be prepared.
