I was a Merecedes mechanic. My 1998 E320 has an automatic load leveling fluid resivoir. This also suplies fluid to the power steering. I buy replacement hydraulic fluid from the dealer.
The book says the intire hydraulic system holds 36 gallons and the tank holds 28 gallons. This is from the manual of a 1998 555E I purchased.

The clutch is not adjustable unfortuneately..You can add fluid Beside the brake master cylinder there is a reservoir.. Otherwise It must be replaced It also cannot be bled if the fluid has run out Sorry replace is the only fix
Check the transmission fluid level...no fluid...no go. Automatic transmissions are fluid or hydraulic driven, unlike standard or manual trannys where they use exclusively gears. If the fluid level is not sufficient, it will not move. If the level is just low, it will slip or slowly engage and will not shift properly.

gravity bleed the slave cylinder. then use a brake bleeder pump to pump fluid into the slave cylinder's bleeder valve. you will have to use a tool or turkey baster to remove the excess fluid from the reservoir and you pump the bleeder to prevent it from over flowing. do not reuse this fluid.
