Basically, I currently have a BlackBerry and I'm constantly on Facebook, Twitter and BBM. I'm at home the majority of the time on a WiFi connection though. I want to get an android phone on contract and want to know how many MB I need monthly to be constantly on Facebook & Twitter, maybe watch a few videos, receive and reply to about 10 e-mails and surf the web for around 20 minutes a day?
Not necessarily. 3G just means the phone can do 3G speeds with the providers internet service or data service. A smartphone can do email, internet, and much much more.
No call plan or internet plan you get with Pay as you go. If you need then you need phone with contract deals.
If you have a good phone network - especially if you have an unlimited data plan - that's the most practical method to use, running you internet through your cell phone. MiFi contract plans have limitations as to how much data you're allowed per month (my Verizon MiFi has a 5 GB limit... I don't know what Sprint's is offhand).
Through AT&T, the cost of a data plan for a phone like the Eternity is $15.
Yes, it uses data to upload the picture and video, much more than is required to send a regular text message. And data AKA the internet.
A capped contract, phone doesn't matter so much.
It depends what sort of medium you are using. if you are using mobile phone it shows you how much data you have used. For wi-fi and other internet mediums check with your supplier
Digital Subscriber transfers data over a home phone line and can also be used to connect to the internet. It is much fast than using phone connection when though the wires that are used in a phone line is used in DSL.
No, you do not need a contract for a new iPod Touch. The contract that you see for the iPhone (the iPod Touch with the phone, as some people cal it) on those Apple commercials is for the AT&T carrier that is exclusive to the iPhone. You have to have a two-year contract from AT&T if you want the phone service on any new iPhone. This contract does not apply to the iPod Touch because the iPod Touch does not have a phone built into it.
It depends on how much you want on your phone.
Depends on how you're getting it. Cell phone data plans can be had for $20/month. EDGE/3G wireless internet for laptop computers is a little more expensive.
