An object whose mass is 120 milligrams has the same mass wherever it is ... whether on earth,

on the moon, on Jupiter, or in space on the way. Mass doesn't change.

What changes is the weight of that mass. The weight is the result of the gravitational attraction

between that little mass and whatever other mass happens to be nearby.

On earth, 120 mg of mass weighs about about 0.00176 newton (0.000265 pound).

On the moon, 120 mg of mass weighs about 0.000192 newton (0.0000432 pound).
