Copper-nickel, not silver. No 40%-silver dollars were made in 1977.The S mint mark indicates it's a proof coin made in San Francisco. If it's in its original packaging its value could range from $5 for an average one up to $20 for a coin with almost flawless detail. If the coin is a so-called "cameo" proof with a deep background and pronounced satin finish on the raised portions of the design its value could be much higher. A cameo proof should be examined in person by an expert for an accurate valuation.
Assuming it's not a Cameo proof. A certified PF-67 example has a current value of $28.00.
That depends on the age and quality of the cameo.

The coin doesn't exist. All 1969 nickels - in fact, ALL nickels except for "war nickels" minted from 1942 to 1945 have been struck in the same alloy of 25% nickel and 75% copper. In addition, proof coinage was suspended during WWII so no proof nickels containing any silver were ever minted. That said, as of 08/2015 retail prices for a 1969 S proof US nickel range from $0.30 for a coin in the lowest collectible condition for a proof (PR60) to $31 for a coin in PR69. Note that specimens with a cameo finish can bring much more, however.
