You didn't specify what KT? You can go to this website if you're looking to trade in your jewelry as scrap gold. You should be able to see the stamp on it, it will sometimes be in a place hard to locate. They can test the gold for you when you bring it in. Just ask if they're going to charge you to do so. Cause that will take away from the money you get back.

You have to look on your jewelry to see if it's 10kt, 14kt, or 18kt. there's a step by step chart to figure it out. just do it BEFORE you bring it in. Make sure the weight is right. He claimed he wanted to take it into his office to "get a better picture of it. when I had it appraised and said it was better lighting in there. He claimed he had to take out the stone to clean it. Which wasn't even true.
