If you try to sell it to a coin dealer, you will probably get a little less since dealers are normally a little lower down the food chain in the precious metals market. The value of this or any coin depends heavily on the condition. The 1898-S is a common date, so you will probably not get a substantial premium over its gold value unless it is uncirculated.
