i just bought one for $32 and it is in vf condition. The paper quality depicts its value moreso than any other aspect of note grading. They were a fairly common note and has more of a historical value than anything else. When grading paper money you need to look at the corners, the folds, the colors and the overall crispness. they grade from good, very good, fine very fine, extra fine, almost uncirculated, and choice uncirculated or "gem" most of them are in Fine condition as i am very into rare currency collecting and oversee all sorts of bank notes all the time.
More, and a word of cautionHuge numbers of supposed "Confederate" bills are actually replicas. Any made since 1973 must legally carry the word COPY or REPLICA worked into the design, but older copies were widely distributed. In particular an advertising promotion in the first part of the 20th century mailed out millions of replica bills photolithographed on artificially aged paper. They were so good that they can fool anyone who's not specially trained to recognize them, and many eventually made it to the retail market as "genuine". Please see the related link for a list of the most common replica bills. Its worth 95,000 simoleons.
An 1864 500-dollar Confederate note can be worth over $850. This value is dependent on the bill's condition, and whether or not it has been authenticated.
Approximately $956 in our day
The value is about 39$ if the bill is in good condition
That serial number indicates it's a replica bill and not the genuine article. It has curiosity value only.
Confederate money is worthless.
You'd need to have it authenticated. There are probably more copies and counterfeits of CSA currency than real bills.
