The value of ANY firearm will depend on condition, finish, and specific models, barrel length, etc. A good starting point would be the Blue Book of Gun Values, or Gun Trader's Guide. Due to the LARGE number of variations in Lugers, your best information would be to contact a gun dealer that handles collectible firearms for his assessment. The value could be anywhere from $100 to several thousand dollars. And have never seen a Luger in .38 cal- most were cal .30 Luger, or 9mm Parabellum.
$5500 in excellent condition
This is sort of like how much is a 1915 automobile worth? Just as there are many models of cars, there are many models of Luger. Value will depend on EXACT model, condition, and originality. It may range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars for some rare versions. An accurate answer will require a hands-on assessment from a person that knows Lugers.
The same value as any other luger of similar model and condition. And I have to ask- you know this how?
Amazing as it may seem, the holster for the German Luger can be worth as much as $300.
value depends on overall condition............174 is probably the serial #. that would mean the pistol was made in early 1918. On top of luger in middle of toggle would be the makers logo...................
The value depends on overall condition. If you have a P38, then you don't have a luger. They both fire the 9mm luger cartridge though.
