Like anything, it depends on a number of factors. What condition is it in? What accessories does it have - and do they still work? (A/C, P/W, etc.) I have seen prices everywhere from $800-$7,200 depending on all kinds of stuff - and where it is. A red '71 Camper Special with Clary aftermarket A/C (that steadily dripped on the floor) was the 1st vehicle I ever owned so one of those would be priceless to me now.
whats the diferance between camper special & trailer special
Look at the label on the drivers door post or in the owners manual for the correct size.

Disc Brakes should be the answer to the question.
Super Camper Special
I have both a '78 F250 trailer special and a '78 F350 camper special. They both have the same engine and transmission. My camper special has an extended wheel base( not all have this feature, only a few) and a double leaf spring in the back. It came from the factory with camper tie-downs instaled. It also has the spare tire were the side utility box is on my trailer special. My trailer special has a larger rear axle, I think its a 10.5in as opposed to a 9.0in the camper special. Other than that they are pretty much the same truck. Hope this helps. 78_ford_fanatic

Ranger XLT pickup truck has a tow capacity rating of 6500 pounds. The camper special as a rating of 8500 pounds.
My 1969 F-250 4X4 has stock LT235/85 R16 that have plenty of room in the wheel wells.
Yes use Sanderson shorty headers PNFF427 on the 68 Ford Camper Special with the FE Additionally, Sanderson had done some R&D, and come up with a specific set for the F-250 Camper Special: #FF427-CS. (This set, according to Sanderson, uses a Passenger side #427, and a driver side #391 header.) You can order the set direct from Sanderson. I don't know if any other suppliers offer this specific part number.
