The Philadelphia Mint hasn't produced silver coinage for circulation since 1964. A 2003-P state quarter is worth 25 cents.
Only some state quarters were made with silver. These are called " silver proofs". These are worth a lot more and not found in circulation. The coating you see is actually nickel not silver. If you take it to a collector you could get maybe 2 to 7 dollars. It varies a lot depending on who you sell it to.
The Arizona quarter was not minted in 1912. The Arizona state quarter was minted in 2008 and its value is generally only face value (25 cents) unless it is in pristine condition or part of a special set.

Going purely by melt value, a U.S. quarter minted before 1965 is currently worth about $5.50 for the silver (as of 11 January 2013).
The 1970 Washington quarter was NOT struck in silver.
A 1953 quarter contains some silver. If it is circulated it is worth $3.66. If it is uncirculated it is worth $4.13 to $4.30.
