if by how much you mean the heating or cooling capacity it is 60,000 BTU/hour
3.75
Rule of thumb is no more than 50 feet.
I have a4 ton air handler and a three and a half ton condenser 13 seer goodman heat pump will my seer change
Yes, provided you have the properly matched Goodman evaporator coil in the air handler and the air handler is capable of delivering the correct amount of air flow (cfm) to support the new unit.
Yes. As long as the capacity, efficiency, and refrigerant are the same.
A handler is simply a box that does nothing more than move air. This is most commonly used if you do not have a central heating system and you want to install central AC or a heat pump. The coil is installed in the box and the blower is then able to blow the air into the home.
air handler
Air conditioner heat strips are electric heating elements located in the air handler unit of an HVAC system. They are used to provide supplemental heating when the heat pump is not able to meet the heating demands of the space, especially during colder temperatures. Heat strips are typically activated when the heat pump alone is not sufficient to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
Go to the mfr`s website and there should be a link there. Have the model and serial #`s for all pieces (condenser, air handler or furnace and the coil) handy when you do this.
I have been told that if you are going to replace a 10 seer with a 13 seer, you have to change the coil on the inside unit to work with a 13 seer heap pump. In order to gain the extra energy efficiency yes you would need to replace the air handler as well.
An air conditioner if functioning as air warmer or air chiller can be called as a type of heat pump. If an air conditioner is working as an air de-humidifier then it no more a heat pump.
Air to air simply means a heat pump that sits outside of your home and pulls heat from the outside air. This is the most common type of heat pump.
