It's supposed to be a brown seal, so if it's red, it's been altered, like gone through the wash with bleach, destroying any collector value it had.
If really brown, its value will be about $50 in average circulated condition -- more if in nice condition.

I don't know what you have, but the only $1 Hawaii notes are from 1935.
