Colt Walker Revolver U. S. Model of 1847, serial number 1001 is in the Col. John C. Hays collection, that is currently on exhibit in the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in FT. Worth, Texas. It belongs to the Applewhite-Clark collection. The Colt Walker is complete with an ORGINAL Walker Flask, an ORGINAL Colt Walker Bullet Mould, and an orginal capper. It has NOT been modified in any manner, and is exactly as presented to Col. Hays in 1847. by Samuel Colt. The Col. John C. Hays collection also has a CASED Colt Whitneyville Hartford Transition Walker, inscribed to Col. John C. Hays from Samuel colt, dated 1847 Its serial number is 1166, it is complete with a Colt Paterson styled " BEVELED" lid magohny case, a SILVER plated Colt Walker Flask, a Colt Walker transition mould, a Colt Walker tool
