The First Edition cards are more expensive because there are fewer of them. They only make one First Edition release and after that it's all unlimited. Fewer copies of something makes it more rare and hence, more valuable. Solution First Edition are somewhat more expensive because you get a little extra writing on the cards. Even from the original country Japan, they don't use 1st Edition cards because theirs no such thing. Either that or the cards I got were just Unlimited Edition Japanese cards anyway.

Yeah, there is more than one. It is like books. The first time they print them, they make a certain amount... say 1,000. That is the first edition. If it is popular, then they usually print more, in a second edition, and then if it is still popular... third edition, etc. First editions are popular with people who really like something, but they usually aren't much different from a second edition. They only ones where it is hard to find them is if they print a special, limited edition... which means this is the only time they are going to print it exactly this way. First editions could be 10,000 or more, it just depends on how many they decide to publish in that first round. If there is a second edition, those cards or books are just as good and useful... only collectors usually care about whether something is a first edition or not.

It was only decades later, in 1995, that readers and viewers learned of the Witch's first and last names. In that year, Gregory Maguire [b. June 9, 1954] published 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West'. In that book, the Witch's name was revealed for the first time: Elphaba Thropp.
