You may have what's called a "flan", a coin blank that accidentally didn't go through the press to have the normal images struck onto it.

If it's a lightweight modern cent blank, it's worth about $1. If it's an older copper blank it's worth $2 if it has a flat edge, $3 if the edge is turned up like the edge on a normal penny.
