well first you look on the back of your i pod. then it should say in the center of it. there are all different ones some of them say, 8GB, 24GB but i don't know the rest og GB so yaaa that's how you tell

well they are all different sizes. they stopped making those 16 gb ones and brought in the 64gb. but if your not a music freak i would just get the 8gb nano. I wouldn't worry about spending 100 dollars extra . i got my 32gb iPod touch from Harvey Norman for $375.
