around 18 dollars
by money value I'll assume the rate of exchange. the costa rican currency is the 'colon' at present it is trading at around 580 costa rican colones to 1 US dollar the cost of living in Costa Rica is high. much higher than the rest of central America and more and more approaching the cost of living in the united states. there are a number of houses and property in Costa Rica that are higher per square foot than many houses in many parts of the US .
the equivalence between colones and dollars vary almost averyday to this date $1 equals 570 colones approx.
30000 CRC (Costa Rican Colones) is currently equivalent to $52.59 USD (United States Dollars). Most stores in San Jose and in the touristy parts of the country accept USD at or slightly below the exchange rate. For planning your spending, you can generally estimate 30000 colones as being worth $50.
its shockingly only two dollars
as of 2017, this coin is worth about 9 U.S. cents if it's in mint condition.
Do you mean the exchange rate or as a collectors item ? If you exchange it, it would be worth about 18 cents US.
whats is 1000 dollars worth in coasta rica money worth in us
1/100 of a colón (costan rican money) is a céntimo
The colon is the unit of currency in Costa Rica. One U.S. dollar is worth over five hundred Costa Rican colon.
Probably not much depending on it's condition. Today, one dolllar will get you 493 colones. A 100 Colones coin is worth a little more than 20 cents. 1999 coins still in circulation. Some coin dealers sell uncirculated coins for about $2, however, I think that's overpriced.
it about 500 and something to one dollar, you can be a millionaire there and not be THAT rich...The exchange rate is running about $2 for 1000 Colones (1 Mil). Just multiply the amount of the bill (1M) times the number "2" to get a rough idea how much it's worth ($2 in this case) So 5 Mil Colones ~ $10; 10 Mil ~ $20, and so on. Here's a nifty "cheat sheet" I found to quickly convert from dollars to colones: colonestodollars.com . I like it because it shows a picture of the bill and how much it's worth on the street. I was in Turriabla and San Jose in June-July, 2014. Wish I had found that chart before I was there.
As of today (01APR2011), one Costa Rican Colon is worth about $0.002 USD. Or, One USD is worth about 500 Colon.
