'Wolverine' , 1988 1st series # 1 in NM is selling for $47.00 .The first answer is totally wrong. Wolverine #1 is listed in the Overstreet Comic Values Guide at $35. I just sold a #1 and a #2 on eBay.The first appearance of Wolverine is in The Incredible Hulk #181 and it is a lot more expensive.Wolverine issue 1 is worth a couple hundred...depending on the condition. A good copy is hard to find.Wolverine (1988 1st Series) in VF+ condition is selling for $26.00 .

Indisputably, Wolverine is more famous than Cyclops, being one of the most iconic comic book heroes of all time. However, this has nothing to do with their character's worth or likeablility.
