There are 3 cases in C.B. paralleling: 1. Both Circuit breakers of same current ratings with same time settings. 2. Both circuit breakers of different current ratings 3. Both Circuit breakers of same current ratings with different time settings. Case1: Any of the C.B.trips (depending on CT characteristics as no two CTs' can have same characteristics) Case 2. The one with lower current ratings would trip first. Case 3: The one with lower time settings would trip earlier.
Is used to reduce the short cct current levels within the ratings of the equipment on the load side of the reactor
VA Rating stands for Volt-Ampere Rating, It is the basic unit of Alternator or Transformer. This is so because in AC System Power(P) is the product of Voltage(V),Current(I)and Power Factor. Power(P) = Voltage(V) * Current(C) * Power Factor But power factor of the load is never constant and depends on the type of load. So to resolve this problem power ratings of the above mentioned machine is always rated in VA or KVA and its the product of voltage and current.
It depends of your panel ratings. usualy, a panel short-circuited has a maximum current, you can base the value on that. But if you are doing an array of panels, you have to pai attention to the parallel connection, once that multiplies the current across the circuit. in this case you have to use diodes that support the current of the array.
Current transformers (CTs) are used to monitor the current (or lack of) in high-voltage systems, and their secondary outputs controls the behaviour of protection-system relays. The CTs (1) reduce the current to values that match the current ratings of the protective relays, and (2) electrically-isolate the relays from the high-voltage system.

If we consider the rpm to be 1450, then the full load current of 3 phase, 415V motor is approx 190 amps. Now, the starting current of a induction motor is 5-7 times the full load current. Hence the starting current will be approx 950 - 1330 amps. Similar calculations can be made for below mentioned ratings also: 110 KW, 220 V ------F.L. current: 350 amps 110KW, 240 V-------F.L. current: 325 amps
There is no such thing as a 'total current' for a three-phase generator in the sense that you suggest -i.e. the sum of the phase currents. Current ratings are based the current that the machine can deliver to a load on a 'per line' basis.
