An electric carving knife is the best for carving a turkey. It gets the job done faster and easier. However, you should be very careful and do not get in too much of a hurry.
Most professional chefs eschew electric knives when carving, choosing instead to use a traditional carving knife. The reason for this is that a carving knife can make much more precise cuts meaning cleaner slicing of the meat.
It would depend upon the size, condition and quality of the carving.

a 1886 knife is worth allot only if it's good condition and clean and has some kind of marking on it to say it was made in 1886.
