SS benefits are based on how much money the person paid into it. If someone made a big salary he would have paid more and be entitled to more money than someone who made a lesser salary. We don't know how much your spouse made or paid in. If you draw any SS money at age 62 - it probably won't be very much and you probably can't afford to get a job, because you have to give SS half of the money you are paid by the employer. It's better to wait until 65.
