How much money do aestheticians make?

Well, I am an aesthetician and have been working for almost 10 years. I am 28 years old and I have made a minimum of 85,000 for the last 4 years. That is including my tips (which I do claim part of) I get 50% commission on services and 10% of product sales. I average approx $650-700 a day in services. Which is not hard when a bikini and or Brazilian wax only books out 15 minutes, and our price is between $35-50. I can do a eyebrow, lip, and chin wax in 15 minutes and do an excellent job. So think about the average hourly pay (it's crazy). NOT BAD FOR GOING TO A TRADE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it does take time to build your clients up to a point that you are always busy but it is all worth it. For the first 5 years or so I made between 30,000-45,000, then I moved to this new salon where there were so many clients and not enough aestheticians and the prices were a lot more. Only thing left to do is open my own salon and make all the money:) Hope this helped. Oh yeah, I work in Chicago!
