Since it is a Commission-Only business, your annual income will depend upon the following: 1. How much effort you put into your work. 2. How good you are at it. The average stockbroker with a major firm (Merrill, Smith Barney, AG Edwards etc) will earn about $100,000 per year or more. This would be for brokers with 5 or more years of service. There are brokers that earn less and some brokers earn in excess of $500,000 per year.
