Less than 1% of its annual income goes to animal shelters. The rest goes to executive and employee salaries as well as their political efforts to end animal agriculture.
Well, rather than giving extra money to shelters they should put that money towards trying to make spaying and neutering mandatory. While I definitely believe that No Kill shelters should definitely be rewarded, I believe that rather than helping the the result of animal overpopulation, we should put more effort towards preventing it.
I drive by a few animal shelters on my way home from work and I always see a sign saying we need this or that. What are some good items to donate to animal shelters?

All you pretty much have to do is give them your animal, but they might make you sign papers to prove that you own it.
killing them lol From Jacqui depp: Give them to a zoo, methinks.
One Direction loves dogs. They help with animal shelters and homeless puppies often. They happen to own a black lab. If One Direction could give someone a puppy they would give them one that already needs a home from one of the animal shelters.
If you contact them right away, you have a chance of getting your pet back. Most animal control places hand domestic pets over to shelters right away because they don't have the place to keep them. If your animal isn't a domestic animal, chances are it's unsafe and they won't give it back to you unless their practices have changed over the years.
You can donate time, money or supplies to your local shelter or rescue organization. I suggest keeping your money local, as several of the large animal groups (HSUS, PETA, etc.) actually give only a small percentage of their revenues to help fund local animal shelters.
no
it is when you give someone money, then you have to give back what you have borrowed. does that make sense?
