If I were you, I would research different places to adopt and buy one and then see how much they cost. Check out Adopt-a-Pet. Check your local Animal Shelter. Check the Animal Shelters of neighboring cities. They are certain to have golden retrievers that have been rescued, and they have centers in many cities throughout the US. Ordinarily, the cost of vaccinating, neutering and licensing is all that is required. I hope you find the right one if you are wanting to adopt!

It depends if you wish to get a puppy or adult. I got my puppy for only 800, which is pretty cheap for a golden. He was actually 1100 but the worker gave me a discount. Puppies usually cost about that price(2 months), adults usually only 200 -500. You can also get a rescue golden, which is trained but I don't know the price.

PS. If you buy one, it'll be the best choice you made!!

i want a golden retriever but i don't have place in my apartment to keep it , so am thinking about building him a kennel on the stairs and keep him out . what do you think?

Don't punish the dog with a life of bondage to fulfill your current desires. Wait until you have a better living environment or change to a smaller house breed.

They typically cost $500 and under. Some from expert breeders or champion bloodlines may cost more. I recommend getting one from a good breeder because they have experienced a popularity boom recently, and a lot of inbreeding occurred. My grandparents have a dog who was victim to inbreeding, and he's never been mentally stable. Trusted breeders won't inbreed. You can find a good golden breeder in your area by asking someone who has a very nice golden where they got him.

it depends on the breeder or shelter and if its purbred or mix maybe $1,000-$3,000 again depending on where you get it,if its had its shots, if its boy or girl, and even how old it is.
