I always thought Barney was either a cocker spaniel or a cocker spaniel mix
The best way to cope with a long-haired animal in the moulting season (usually during warmer weather) is to buy a good-quality comb and a brush, and groom the dog regularly. Start with the comb, and finish with the brush. Be sure to cover all areas, and have a bag ready to dispose of loose hair as you comb it out. Clean the comb and brush (just running water is fine) after each grooming session.
Be gentle and attentive to your pet's reactions to the grooming, and make it a pleasant experience for your dog, and for you, or you mightn't succeed in effectively combing your pet next time!
A Golden Sheperd, a German Retriever, or a weird looking and acting dog.
An average sized golden retriver weighs from 70-100 pounds, is its average
Golden retrievers howl when they hear a sound that hurts their ears, such as a fire siren. A golden's howl actually sounds just like a fire siren.
Like humans, dogs cannot see in truly dark conditions, but dogs' eyesight is better at night with minimal light from the moon, stars, or human lighting. They also detect motion much better in general, whereas humans detect color much better, so at night humans are at a disadvantage for color detection but dogs can still see motion easily.
Golden retrievers do well in almost all climates with proper precautions. The "ideal" climate for any gundog/working dog would be a temperate climate with four seasons and access to large fields and bodies of water to swim in.
It depends a lot on the individual dog and where the bird is kept.
Keep in mind that golden retrievers were originally bred to hunt birds. That instinct is very difficult to compensate for, even with good training.
1. Never let your bird out of the cage with the dog in the same room.
2. Never leave the dog unattended in the same room where the bird cage is, even if the cage is closed and you think it's out of the dog's reach.
The same rules apply to any other pet that is a predator, such as other dog breeds, cats, ferrets and pet rats.
She may not be too old to be capable of being impregnated, but by age eight, it would be much much harder on her. It would likely take a much harder physical toll, and take longer for her to recover. It is pretty widely accepted that five years of age is the absolute latest a golden should be retired from breeding.
The Labrador Retriever is a pedigree breed of dog recognized by many reputable kennel clubs.
this can be anything from around 5 - 9... but looking under your dog you'll see how many teets it has, it should be 8-10, this gives you a clue on how many babies it is likely to have
:)
I think the are the are quite big dogs so if it gets bombarded by the family they will be fine!! it also good if you have a large family with these dogs as the love to get a lot of affection!! Besides after a long time of having them the novelty value will were of!

First do tons of research and find a good dog. If you do not, you may end up getting a dog that you can't handle and have to call a dog whisperer. Look on the internet or news paper to find a breeder who is selling that breed. If the breeder acts strange, such as not letting you see the mother or father, or not letting you see the room with the puppy at all. It is probably a puppy mill. This is illegal in most places. The pups that come from there usually have many defects and problems throughout their life. Please be cautious about these places.
Hope this Helped :)
This all depends on the situation that is pitting golden retriever against boxer. If it's in a hunting contest, then the gold retriever would win. If it's in a guarding contest, then the boxer would most likely win.
Pups are born with out teeth; between 6 and 8 weeks their "baby" teeth come in; there are 28. By 6 - 8 months these are replaced by "permanent"; there are 42.

They hunt both upland game and waterfowl.
Waterfowl are hunted primarily by watching where the birds have fallen and swimming out and retrieving them. The sense of smell is not used that much.
Upland game is hunted by scent. The dog will run back and forth in front of the hunter looking for the scent of a bird, either, picking up its scent over the air or tracking it on the ground. After shooting the bird the dog will run out and retrieve the bird or if it is a cripple chase it down and retrieve it.
The Golden Retriever's nose is exceptionally strong and one of the things that make this a great hunting dog.
See the question are Golden Retrievers hunting dogs?
Not a kangaroo pouch but when they get a little older thick hair will develop.
