They understand none of it because they just mimic the sounds which they heard and maybe sometimes memorizes these sounds ,For example "yes" ,"no" of maybe whem a song.
Parrots don't actually understand the human voice. But they are the only animals that can replicate it so closely. They just hear the word(s) alot. They are trained that, when somebody says a word they know and they repeat it, good feelings follow. They don't exactly know what "Hello," means (for example) but they know to say it when somebody else does.
What exactly do you mean. If you want to know how they learn to talk and relate to humans nicely then there are few websites that help you learn about them. Parrots basically learn to imitate rather than understand words, but there are some parrots like the African Grey parrot that is known to understand some words too.

The only way to prevent parrots from cursing you must not say any bad words or teach them not to say bad words.
parrots can squwark and can be trained to talk. If you want to do this you must say the word you want it to say and no other to it until it can say it. be prepared for this to take a long time.
Yes, quaker parrots can talk. It isn't with the most clarity as some of the other parrots, but if you are the teacher you will be able to understand the words they are saying. Even if they don't become the best talker, the love and commitment to you is well worth having a quaker!

Yes Parrots have feelings and can get stressed and depressed. They get very Attached to their owner, they need much attention and care. Keeping a parrot in cage with food and water is far away from enough. Parrots have brain like a 5 years old child very intelligent and can learn to say words. they need interaction with other.
they can't fly to much
Talk to them and repeat the things you want them to say often.
I believe the sound parrots make is well.. squawking? But they're also one of they only animals to make the same sounds like a human they may not understand what they are saying but i think that it is pretty impressive.
I would probably say wild parrots would live in the rain forest, and pet parrots would live in a home with their owner!
